30for30: Happy birthday Adam ❤️

Today’s the day that ends the challenge ❤️ The day that spurred the whole thing on. Today, Adam would have turned 30.

My original words when writing about the challenge was to ‘do something significant in Adam’s memory, as not making it to 30 under such tragic circumstances is something that needs addressing.

And I think we did just that…

£15,316 raised including gift aid. So many people running with me and reading the blogs. I have medals and collectibles across the whole thing to look back on and remember. It’s been incredible.

Stats

In 2018:

97 hours spent running – that is over 4 days
109 runs including training – averaging 12 miles a week

And I still managed to have a social life 💃

Note: my Strava account lets me see stats from 2018 but obviously we started this challenge a year ago today… so much running!

Courtesy of my lovely friend Christa who created this whilst I was in New York.. here is a look back on the year in pictures 😍

We had a lovely evening celebrating on Friday with friends of Adam’s and anyone that took part in a 30for30 race.

Thank you Jemma for the amazing cake full of memories 😘

So happy birthday brother, we are all thinking of you today ❤️

Thank you for everyone again for the support this past year. If you read my previous blog you’ll see that this isn’t the end, we may not be fundraising anymore but blogging and running has done me the world of good – so I am going to continue! Next stop: the Paris marathon, April 2019!

So we have a lot of cake to get through today and lots of memories to talk about, but for one last time, if you’d like to donate in memory of Adam, you can do so here: https://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/EmmaBramwell2

So very inspiring, thank you for taking us on this journey with you. Adam would be so proud of you, as am I. Well done, Emma, for doing this and even more so for raising money and awareness of mental health issues. You are now an integral part of the wave of change happening in our society, benefiting millions of people in this country alone. You are a true inspiration.
